Notes:The Metolius River is so much more than just a river. It's cold clear waters, rushing through towering ponderosa pines, have been a camping and fishing mecca for a century. The riverside trails beckon hikers, birders, and photographers. Rustic campgrounds, built in the 1930's by the Civil Conservation Corps, provide scenic camping sites. Whatever your reasons for seeking it out, you are sure to be lulled by its magic.
