...."It's a Saturday and one of our day off from our volunteer jobs at the Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery. We head up the west side of the river on a hike. This is a wonderful section and the trail, located above the river, provides some great vistas of the river with its banks in bright yellows of fall."

..."The gift of the day is spotting a Bull Trout under a log right along the trail. We take some digital photos. This identification is only possible after the education we got yesterday when helping the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife count Bull Trout spawning redds on Canyon Creek. I would just have thought we had spotted a large Brook Trout."
