Our friend Dan Lawry and his dog Cocoa joined us on our second day of hiking on the Metolius. We made a loop by starting at Lower Bridge and hiking up river on the East Metolius River Trail, then crossing over at Wizard Falls Hatchery and hiking down river on the West Metolius River Trail.

| You can tell from the photo it is still dim morning light deep here in the canyon. The tempature is in the high 30's at 9:15.

| This photo was taken in the afternoon close to the end of our hike. Cocoa is taking advantage of a pause to rest. Both Buster & Cocoa still seem intent on watching for squirrels.

| This is the finish back at Lower Bridge. The tempature is now in the mid 80's at 1:00. Almost a 50-degree tempature swing in less than 4 hours. Our mileage was almost six and a half. |
