Saturday, May 15th 2004 Makan-lah! (let’s eat!) ~ a Malaysian
Feast
Our friend Greg Cabeza has enthusiastically accepted my invitation to be our first ever guest chef. Here’s what Greg has to say about the meal: “Malaysian food is widely influenced by many cultures including Chinese, Indian, Portuguese, Dutch, Thai and Indonesian. The resulting cuisine is a unique, exotic fusion called “Nonya” which is Portuguese for grandmother. Although the typical Malaysian table would include classic dishes from many countries, for this dinner I am specifically focusing on the food unique to Malaysia. Makan-lah!” Social
