| Date: April 23, 2005 | | Location Row River Trail Bike | | Where: Cottage Grove, Oregon | This bicycle trip on the Row River Trail was planned as a 'practice/shake-down' ride for Cascade Ramblings' upcoming bike tour on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes in June. Of the ten people we have signed up to ride the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, five of us were able to participate in this ride. A poor weather forecast did not deter us, and we were able to ride the eleven miles from the Mosby Creek Trailhead to the town of Dorena in the dry.

But then our luck changed and it started raining, requiring our return trip back to our cars at the Mosby Creek Trailhead to be ridden in the rain. Jeanette was able to demonstrate an effective emergency helmet protector to keep heads dry. Grocery bags will now be included on our list of essential items. |  | | the bag ladies |
