| Date: August 12, 2014 | | Location Siuslaw River - North Jetty - Mudflats | | Where: Florence, Oregon | | Jeanette and I made another escape from the continuing oppressive heat in the Willamette Valley to cool down on the Oregon Coast. This trip is to the Florence area where we are staying at Harbor Vista Campground for two nights. We met our campground host yesterday, volunteer Mike Allen, and he joined me this morning in a bird walk on the mudflats, which are an e-Bird designated Hot Spot.
