We were running an errand in Salem and decided to check out Fairview Wetlands for birds. Lucky we arrived there in between rain/hail storms and with a little sunshine. This is an old time favorite bird watching site for us that we used to walk to from our house when we lived in South Salem almost ten years ago. It was just being developed then in mitigation for the industrial park that was being built and destroying a much larger natural wet-land. We were pleased to see what good progress has taken place in the way of nice bark dust trails, bridges and natural vegetation. We will definitely come back and spend more time on a warmer day.
