The hiking destination for the Scott Family's annual gathering at Clear Lake for 1981 was Maxwell Butte. Everyone that wanted to go piled into the back of my Toyota pick-up to drive to the trailhead. At reaching Twin Lakes, Dad & Mom decided to hold up and wait for the rest of us there. The rest hiked on to the summit. On our return we all got in one of the Twin Lakes and enjoyed a refreshing swim.
