"Clouds hanging at about 7000 ft kept us from a good view of Mt Jefferson. We discovered lookout has been left for people to use & enjoy ----according to logbook a lot of people stay in cabin overnight. Area was completely free of snow and looking over in Fire Camp Lakes basin believe it is free of snow. Wild Flowers were extremely beautiful. Indian paintbrush is quite short, beautiful purple penstemon in full bloom, bear grass just open. Cliff swallows were busy on bugs."
