Genus / Species:Madia elegans ssp. vernalis
Notes:Hairy leaves and stems are very sticky and give off a tar odor. Field of solid yellow can be seen in the morning when the rays open, as the day progresses they will close up leaving a field of green. Ten some species are found in California and Southern Oregon.
