Date: March 6, 2004 | Location Klickitat Trail Hike | Where: Fisher Hill Bridge to Pitt | Mike Garrison, Ralph Nafziger, Mary Coleman, and John Stolting joined Jeanette and I on a trip to the Columbia Gorge for one of the Spring Hikes scheduled by the Klickitat Trail Conservancy on the Klickitat Trail. Our first stop was in Lyle for a pancake breakfast at the Lyle Lions Club, before assembling with the rest of the group at the Klickitat Trailhead for the hike of the 8-mile section from Fisher Hill Bridge to Pitt.
| | Klickitat River We started spotting wildflowers right away, starting with Grass Widows, then several Parsleys, including the Columbia Desert Parsley. Next we spotted Prairie Stars, Gold Stars and a few Yellow Bells.

And a Mourning Cloak Butterfly got our lunchtime attention. | | Bald Eagle | | Columbia Desert Parsley | | Yellow Bells |
