I have long dreamed of being able to show Margie's sister Mary, Iron Mountain. After many years that dream became a reality. Although Iron Mountain's colorful display of wildflowers is considered at its peak in mid July, we were still impressed with what it could show us in the middle of August. The large patches of towering Fireweed were the most impressive, but the bright red Baneberry caught our attention and the abundant Yarrow was a favorite of Mary's. We also enjoyed the numerous Asters, Coneflowers, Woodland Beard-tongue, and Scoulers Bellflower. Wild strawberries were found and the huckleberries are turning ripe.
