John at Coyote Wall

....."This was an exploring trip that I learned of the possibility of last week from Nancy Russell.
After packing up at Memaloose State Park we went into Hood River and crossed the bridge to the Washington site and parked at Rowland Lake. We then hiked west on the old highway until we caught a trail up and into the grasslands. We took the main creek drainage, West Creek, enjoying all the delightful pools and monkey flowers. Then at a fence went on west, caught a road and then hiked up the edge of Coyote Wall until we reached the tree line."
