Notes:It's only a short hike of 2.1 miles to the old fire look-out site at the top, but don't dismiss if from your list of hikes to do, as it has much to offer. The vista from the top is outstanding, and the trail has much to offer as well. Spectacular displays of Beargrass can be seen in July, and delicious huckleberries are available to eat in August. Boca Cave can be explored off of the east side, but I recommend it only for the experienced hiker because of the steep scramble down through the brush and trees.
Trail_Number:3373 & 3374
Route:From Detroit take Highway 22 east 6.5 miles. Just past mile post 56 turn left on McCoy Creek Rd #2233. The pavement will end in 4 miles, continue on for almost another 4 miles to a four way juction. Turn right and continue on for 1.3 miles to an unmarked road on the right. The trailhead is located a short distance on the right. The trail starts behind the sign.
