Notes: | It's only a short hike of 2.1 miles to the old fire look-out site at the top, but don't dismiss if from your list of hikes to do, as it has much to offer. The vista from the top is outstanding, and the trail has much to offer as well. Spectacular displays of Beargrass can be seen in July, and delicious huckleberries are available to eat in August. Boca Cave can be explored off of the east side, but I recommend it only for the experienced hiker because of the steep scramble down through the brush and trees. |
