Bingham Ridge Trail
Difficulty:experienced only
Notes:Bingham Lake lies in the center of Bingham Basin, both of which were named by Judge John Waldo for his friend Edward W Bingham. There is no trail directly to Bingham Lake, and because you must climb over Bingham Ridge to get there, the elevation gain is more in the order of 2,100 feet that you have to conquer not the mere trailhead elevation difference of 415 feet. To find Bingham Lake its about a four mile hike to the Junction of the Lake of the Woods Trail, then about a mile on the Lake of the Woods Trail to you get to a good jumping off point in Bingham Basin where you drop down through the brush for about a half a mile to the lake. Note, the junction of the Bingham Ridge Trail and the Lake of the Woods Trail is about a half of a mile further East than shown on all the maps.
