Notes: | This artificial lake was constructed in 1956 by Portland General Electric Co. to provide a reserve of water for downstream power production. Its a popular destination for boating, fishing, camping and hiking. There are boat ramps and five national forest campgrounds to choose from. For the fisherman, the lake has natural reproduction of brook trout and is stocked with rainbow and cutthrout trout. Hikers can circle the entire lake on a thirteen mile loop trail. |
