An opportunity for a spring hike in the Columbia Gorge is something I never want to miss. This was a Chemeketan hike led by John Savage to check out the wildflowers. We had a day of mostly sunshine, while back in the Willamette Valley the report was all rain. One big surprise for me was that the rock arch is now closed to the public. Probably a good idea, but glad I was able to climb through it in past years. The flower season is in full swing, the early favorite Grass Widow is already done, but lots of other are in full bloom.
