Location SARA Park Hiking |
Where: Lake Havasu City, Arizona |
Friends Dan & Charlene Lawry are visiting from Oregon and we took them hiking at SARA Park. The name SARA is actually an acronym for Special Activities and Recreation Area. Owned by Lake Havasu City, it is adjacent to BLM land that borders the shore line of Lake Havasu. The combined properties make possible a premier hiking & biking area with a vast network of trails. We took the main wash that becomes the Yellow Trail, through the famous Crack-in the-Wall, down to Balance Rock Cove. We returned via the Blue Trail and then the Red Trail for a total mileage of just under five miles. This was the first hike that I have relied solely on the camera in my new iPod for photos. |
