Location  Christmas Birding

Where:  Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge

Christmas Day found us with a day off and so we chose to going birding at the nature trails along the shore of Lake Havasu at the Visitor Center of the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge.

We did see a lot of birds in total numbers, but not a lot of variety. In fact we only came up with ten different species. We saw literally hundreds of American Coots, next dozens of Common Goldeneye, quite a few Western Grebe and Clark's Grebe, a few Pied-bill Grebe, one female Rudy Duck, and a Belted Kingfisher.
