Location Heceta Head Hike |
Where: Oregon Coast |
The hike from Carl Washburn State Park to Heceta Head Lighthouse is one of my coastal favorites and we had a day of glorious sunshine to enjoy hiking.

Jeanette and Buster Beginning in the day use area of Carl Washburn State Park, this route takes you down the beach for just over a mile to the Hobbit Trail. In a half a mile the trail joins the Heceta Head Trail for a mile and a half climb to the lighthouse.

Jim on the trail We took our lunch break sitting on a bench up against one of the lighthouse buildings soaking up the sun.

Jeanette at the Heceta Lighthouse Back to our motor home parked in the day use area, Buster napped while we took showers. Renewed and refreshed we drove on up the coast, selecting a campsite at Tillicum Beach Campground for the night.
