We're enjoying San Diego like no other place we have been. It may be because we've reached that place in our journey where we can allow ourselves to relax and enjoy. The temperature is just perfect. The sun has just the right amount of warmth. The flowers are the brightest.

We enjoyed the luxury of a leisurely morning. We checked the AMTRAK station next door. We plan to depart from there Thursday morning.

We toured the city in a bicycle-powered taxi. A great treat for our legs and seats. The female driver did all the peddling.

On the docks we toured a square-rigged sailing ship named the Star of India. We walked the decks and explored her cabins and galleys.

We walked a few blocks to the Horton Plaza, the most luxurious shopping plaza you can imagine. There we enjoyed hot chocolate and almond pastry and simply sitting and talking.

We walked across the street from our little motel and through the lobby of the luxurious Holiday Inn On The Bay where we ate in their out door cafe, enjoying the good food, the view of the bay, and the sharing of our lives.

We're in love with San Diego, or we're in love IN San Diego---it feels like both are true.
