It's amazing how different things can look in the light of a new day. The dawn of this day cast a new life and humor on yesterday's pain. As we lay in our sleeping bags enjoying our reclaimed sense of humor, I wondered aloud what surprises the day would bring. I would find out sooner than I expected.
We spent the night in a hiker/biker site at Kitsap Memorial State Park on Hoods Canal. Another rider from the Salem Bike Club, John Maurice, joined us. We will be meeting Doug Parrow & Linda Topping Tuesday on Vancouver Island.
While John & Jeanette were busy with dinner preparations, I decided to take a shower. In the fading light I made a fast dash across the park and slipped in for a quick shower.
This morning when I made my journey back to the same restroom, imagine my surprise when I discovered that I had evidently showered in the women's shower. The door I was about to walk in clearly had a women's icon. I stood there dazed for a moment, confused, as if someone had turned the building around during the night. Thank goodness I had the shower to my self last night----well, there had been voices----.
Yes, it's truly amazing how different things look in the light of a new day.
