Chuck Peterson and I left Salem at 7:30, stopping in Woodburn for breakfast, and then driving on through Molalla and Estacada to the Pansy Lake Trailhead, arriving at 11:00.

| Cuck Peterson The Pansy Lake Trail #551 has been rerouted around the east side of Pansy Lake, and the Mother Lode Trail #558 has been regarded.
At the lookout we find two fellows are voluntarily manning the old lookout.

| Bull of the Woods Lookout On the trip out we take the old trail around the west side of Pansy Lake and see the old mine and the miner's cabin.
