Date: September 9, 2000 | Location Oregon Coast Bicycle Tour - Day 1 | Where: Astoria to Nehalem Bay State Park | Doug Parrow had an idea of cycling the entire Pacific Coast in sections by taking a week off of work each year to do a section. In 1999 he started in Vancouver Canada with a group and cycled through the state of Washington. This was the second year on his 'one week program', and he led this trip along the Oregon Coast. He went on in years three and four to lead trips through California.
