From our motel in Morro Bay we wound our way out through Morro Bay State Park, treated to early morning sightings of wild turkeys and deer. We retraced our route of a few days earlier along Los Osos Valley Road, then turned south on 101, turning off on San Luis Bay Road, and catching the Bob Jones 'City to the Sea' Bike Trail. This is a very picturesque area through the San Luis Bay Golf Club.

| Bob Jones Bike Trail, Avila Beach Arriving at Avila Beach we purchased some deli sandwiches at a restaurant and picked out a picnic table at the park to enjoy our lunch and the views.

| Avila Beach, looking north After lingering over our lunch and soaking up the sunshine we cycled on out to Port San Luis before turning around and heading south on 101 through Shell Beach to Pismo Beach to spend the night.
