Cycling out to the north side of Morro Rock we spent a considerable time with a crowd watching a surfing contest. Then it was back to town, stopping for a second breakfast at the Coffee Pot, and then on to the Museum of Natural History where we learned many things. Juan Cabrillo sighted and named Morro Rock in 1542---to put that in perspective, that's 300 years before the pioneers arrived in the Oregon Territory!

Our afternoon was spent pedaling North on Highway 1 to the colorful town of Cambria and one of our all time favorite inns, the Bridge Street Inn.
