With a second night's stay already taken care of at Hostel Obispo we were free to take the day to explore the San Luis Obispo area. First we cycled north up through California Polytechnic State University. Then we headed west on Foothill Blvd., which is the Bob Garing Bikeway. Next we turned south on Los Osos Valley Road, and then east on Madonna Ave., were we took a break at Laguna Lake, a beautiful park that we had stopped for lunch at during our Canada to Mexico trip.

| lunch in San Luis Obispo Cruising around downtown we spotted 2 Dogs' Internet Café and stopped to receive and send e-mail.

| Jim at 2 Dogs' Internet Cafe One of the things San Luis Obispo is famous for is their Farmer's Market held every Thursday night right in the middle of downtown. Luckily we were there on a Thursday night so we walked from our hostel to the downtown and enjoyed an evening of fun, food, and festivities.
