Date: January 17-18, 2004 | Location Thunderbird Lodge | Where: Willamette National Forest | As the result of a ski trip up Whitewater Road on December 30, Jeanette was inspired to put together a weekend at the Chemeketan's Thunderbird Lodge. As word got out via the 'e-mail grape vine', people began responding until she ended up with 12 overnight guests. Mary Coleman lobbied for a 'build-your-own-burrito" for Saturday dinner, and Jeanette put together a pancake breakfast for Sunday morning. Everyone brought something to contribute to the two delicious meals. A variety of means were used to pack into the Lodge; some skied, some snowshoed, everyone carried packs and some pulled sleds. We spent a wonderful evening enjoying the fireplace, playing games and singing folk songs along with "Banjo" Bill Geibel.
