Location Island Jct Shelter Ski - Day 2 |
Where: Ray Benson Sno-Park |
During the night we had some great views of the moon, and looking east we could see the lights of Sisters nestled between Black Butte and Cache Mountain. Around 11:00 is starts blowing and we take down the emergency blanket we had rigged across the front as it is banging back and forth. Night is spent with potty breaks and stoking the stove. Got up around 6:00 and as it gets lighter snow is added to the wind.

John & Jeanette face a new morning We are out of the mood for extra skiing so after breakfast we head out for the parking lot. The weather has turned into pretty much a gale and we completely bundle up with parkas with hoods up. We push hard and are out in just over an hour. No stopping and looking around. Shake off the snow in the Benson Shelter and have our lunch.
