| We began the continuation of our backpacking trip by descending into Big Indian Gorge. Not a marked route, you must pick your way down though the sagebrush on game trails with your goal being the valley floor. Here we made our camp among towering old cottonwoods, and colorful aspen. Statistics for the day: distance 2 miles, time 2 hours, cumulative descent 1950 ft.|
The next day was spend hiking down through Big Indian Gorge, making three stream crossing and camping for the last time alongside the cold waters of Big Indian Creek. Statistics for the day: distance 6.2 miles, time 5:15 hrs., cumulative descent 320 ft.
