Genus / Species:Arctostaphylos columbiana
Notes:Hairy Manzanita is a brushy shrub from 2 to 8 foot tall, and is a member of the same genus as Kinnikinnick, which is not tall but forms a dense mat. Manzanita is the Spanish word for little apple. The fruit is edible.
