Genus / Species:Crataegus douglasii
Notes:Black Hawthorn is a native, with serrated leaf edges as opposed to the deeply lobed edges of the Common Hawthorn. The fruit is a very dark purple to black and is edible, but it described as 'dry and puckery'.
