Common Name:Gull, Thayer's
Scientific Name:Larus thayeri
Family:Laridae
Area:Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon
Date:October 24, 2013

This photo with the power line running right through it is not the best, but this gull in unusual enough that I am using it. Notice the lighter grey of the wings, red spot on the bill, dark eyes, and dark pink legs. This is a none-breeding or winter adult so the head and neck are washed in brownish plumage.
