Common Name:Goldeneye, Barrow's
Scientific Name:Bucephala islandica

This is a male Barrow's Goldeneye with two females in tow. The male differs from the Common Goldeneye male by the purple cast to its puffier head and crescent shaped white spot. The Common has a green cast, more rounded head, with a circular white spot.
