This is probably the most wide-spread squirrel in Oregon. Its colors changes with the seasons, going from the red browns in summer to the darker grey in winter. Alternate names for this squirrel are Chickaree and Pine Squirrel. Many times their high pitched bark is confused with a bird call. |
