Loon Lake has much the look and feel of a reservoir created by a dam, and in fact it was a dam, in the form of a landslide that created this lake many years ago. There are two campgrounds, Loon Lake and East Shore that are operated by the Bureau of Land Management. Camping is also available at the Loon Lake Lodge & RV Resort. |
Route: | From Reedsport take Highway 38 east for 13 miles, turning right at the sign for Loon Lake. It is 7 miles from the highway to Loon Lake. |
