Title:North Fork Trail
Area:Willamette National Forest
Elevation:1080 - 1160 Feet
Elevation_Gain:80
Trail:North Fork
Misc:This could be an excellent overnight get-away with a stay at the Westfir Lodge, and then literally walk out the door and across the street to the scenic bridge and this trail. This could also be a fishing trip. The North Fork is managed for wild trout with fly fishing only with barbless hooks.

Notes:This North Fork Trail is actually located on the North Fork of the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. This confusion may add to the obscurity this trail seems to experience. As trailheads go, it's a 10+. There is paved parking, clean restrooms, and a historical covered bridge to provide character. Signage is almost non-existent. Start the trail on the gravel road north of the restrooms. Don't give up on the first few ugly yards of the trail as it passes under the railroad and through a burned area, you will soon be rewarded with scenic views along side the river.

Trail_Number:3666
Route:From Eugene, take Highway 58 east, turning at the Westfire exit just before Oakridge. Cross on the covered bridge to the trailhead.
Distance:4.3
USGS_75:Westfir East
