Notes: | Once an important link in the scenic Columbia River Highway, the Mosier Twin Tunnels, were filled in when the route was replaced with Highway I-84 in the 1950s. Recent restoration efforts have reopened the tunnels to foot and bicycle traffic. One again you can travel through the tunnels, along the graceful highway and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the Columbia River Gorge between Mosier on the east end and Hood River on the west end. |
