Notes: | This trail was formerly known as the Tumble Ridge Trail. It is a great conditioning trail because of the total elevation gain involved in a short distance, and the year around access to the lower trailhead. The lower trailhead is located right off on Highway 22 at Detroit Lake so involves no backcountry travel on gravel roads. Early season access is always available, and it's a good work out on the lower section even when the upper trail is blocked by snow.
The trail also has a lot of scenic value to offer the hiker as well. There are great vistas of Detroit Lake, glimpses through the trees of Mt Jefferson, views of Tumble Rock and Elephant Rock across Tumble Creek, and a stunning shot of Tumble Falls.
