Notes: | Fish Lake is a seasonal lake, drying up in the summer and refilling in the spring. The area was once an important stop on the Historic Santiam Wagon Road. For many years it saw use by the USFS as a Remount Station. Some of the historic buildings are now available for winter cabin rentals. The campground at the lake has now been converted to an Interpretive Site. |
Route: | Access to Fish Lake is at the Fish Lake Interpretive Site, located along Highway 126, less than two miles south of the junction of Highway 20 and 126. |
